Bulgaria Sets 30 New Firms Going
|
Thirty small companies will make their first steps in Bulgaria, after receiving special aid from the Economy Ministry.
The enterprises won the first round of Project 100 - an EUR 1 M initiative launched to stimulate small businesses in the country.
Montana, Sliven, Yambol and Pazardzhik are the first districts that will receive the EUR 8,000 aid and found new firms.
They will work in the fields of textile, furnishing, machinery construction, foods, providing of Internet services, software development and implementation of alternative electricity sources, etc.
A modern car service station will rise in Montana as a result of the project, while Elhovo will see a plastic-processing factory that will also make bottles, drums and other packaging material.
The 30 winners received Wednesday their special certificates from Economy Minister Milko Kovachev. They were also congratulated by Neil Buhne, UNDP resident representative for Bulgaria.
The second round of Project 100 will take place over August 14 - September 2. The JOBS business centers in Montana, Sliven, Peshtera and Elhovo will receive applications for taking part in the contest.
Candidates should prepare a plan for a profitable business, preferably with the use if new technologies and with the implementation of energy-saving facilities, the Economy Ministry announced. |
